bottle (12 oz) Annie's™ Naturals organic sweet & spicy BBQ sauce
Line 15x10x1-inch pan with foil and a cooling rack.
In small bowl, stir BBQ sauce, honey and 5 teaspoons of the bourbon. In 6-quart slow cooker, place wings in single layer. Pour BBQ sauce mixture over wings. Cover; cook on High heat setting 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until juice of chicken is clear when thickest part is cut to bone (at least 175°F). Transfer wings to rack in pan.
Set oven control to broil. Broil wings 5 to 6 minutes or until coating is bubbly and slightly darkened.
Meanwhile, spoon fat off BBQ sauce mixture; transfer to 2-quart saucepan. Heat to simmering over medium-high heat. Cook 5 to 6 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat; stir in remaining 1 teaspoon bourbon.
Drizzle wings with some of the BBQ sauce, and serve extra sauce on the side.
- Using 6-quart slow cooker provides enough surface area for wings to be arranged in single layer. This allows them to cook without falling apart in BBQ sauce.
- Cooking wings to 175°F ensures meat will easily come off bone.
